The Department of Education (DepEd) โ€“ Davao del Sur Division successfully hosted this weekโ€™s Provincial Flag Raising Ceremony and Convocation Program, bringing together teaching, non-teaching personnel, and provincial officials to reaffirm patriotism, unity, and commitment to public service.

The program opened with the solemn raising of the Philippine flag, followed by the singing of Lupang Hinirang and the recitation of the Panunumpa sa Watawat. A prayer and inspirational message highlighted the importance of collective effort in advancing education in the province.

Division officials also took the opportunity to provide updates on ongoing initiatives, upcoming programs, and accomplishments of DepEd Davao del Sur through the State of the Division Address (SODA) by Lorenzo E. Mendoza, CESO V, Schools Division Superintendent. The convocation served as a venue to recognize the hard work of personnel and to strengthen collaboration across schools and offices.

In his message, Schools Division Superintendent, Lorenzo E. Mendoza, CESO V emphasized the role of every teacher and staff member in ensuring quality education for all learners. He urged everyone to continue upholding DepEdโ€™s core values of Maka-Diyos, Maka-Tao, Makakalikasan, and Makabansa.

The event also included the oath-taking of the federation of student-leaders administered by Governor Yvonne R. Cagas. A turn-over of grass-cutters, television and cash assistance to identified schools were also conducted symbolizing both the spirit of nationalism and the shared mission of educators in shaping the future of the learners of Davao del Sur.
